My research, conducted at the Okura Tokushi Laboratory within the Faculty of Integrated Human Studies at Kyoto University, focuses on the Psychoanalysis and Developmental psychology of Dissociative Identity Disorder (DID). Specifically, I examine the regressive phenomena—often manifesting as withdrawal—observed during the recovery phase. By applying D.W. Winnicott’s psychoanalytic framework, I explore how such withdrawal and regression can function as essential components in a patient's psychic reorganization and long-term healing within a secure therapeutic "holding environment."
